How do hydraulically steered instantaneous water heaters work?
Back to Article Index...The hydraulically controlled instantaneous water heaters work with the water flow rate. The differential pressure switch switches automatically on once the water starts to flow through the unit at about 3L/min & the unit on three phase power have a two stages pressure switch with the second stage coming on at about 7L/min. For these units to function properly minimum constant water pressure of 1.5 bars is needed.
Hydraulically controlled units are suitable for lever mixer taps & possess safety temperature limiter (thermal cut-out) devices, in case of over heating the unit will switch off its own power internally. There are two different units available with hydraulic control DHB and DHC, the DHB unit is equipped with a bare wire element & the DHC is equipped with a tubular element.
